Proof of Life After Death Part 3 Mysterious voice in Utah rescue

Allow me to begin by saying that I've heard or reported on a number of "mysterious voices" that came from nowhere to save lives in my books "Flipside" and "It's a Wonderful Afterlife."

One in particular was Harvard/Yale PhD Gary Schwartz's own experience where a "mysterious voice" told him to put on his seatbelt moments before it saved his life in a crash.  I cite the example of Chris Elliot, comedian, who heard a voice say "Wake up skylark!" just prior to watching his niece tumble off the end of a table, where he caught her.  I pointed out to Chris the origin of the term "skylark."  In my own life, I clearly heard my father speak to me after his passing, giving me a list of people he said he was presently with - the names were of friends of his who died in WWII whom I had never heard of, but my mom confirmed were his pals.

So I'm convinced, based on my research, beyond a shadow of doubt that the afterlife exists.  And beyond that, there's a between lives realm where we all return "home" and work out our next incarnation.

Be that as it may.

Some years ago I was called upon as an expert witness in a trial where the key piece of evidence was from a security camera that I was asked to examine.  I blew up the footage, slowed it down, pieced it together and showed clearly what had happened in the video - which from a taped perspective was about a quarter mile away.  But by zooming and slowing down, and highlighting the various parts of the tape, I was able to demonstrate what happened.  I was certified as an expert witness in the case.

So I have some experience examining filmed "evidence."

So I examined closely the "mysterious voice" heard during the rescue of this baby Lily in Utah.  (I've also contributed a small amount to her recovery, I encourage everyone reading this to do so, it's on the gofundme.com website - Jennifer and Lily.)

In my opinion, what the policemen heard is not what's indicated on the tape.

I learned something from Gary Schwartz, who is a scientist first and foremost.  And he's repeated it a number of times to me.  "It's data. Put it on the table."  We can't hope that data shows us an outcome, we can only hope that data will show us to an outcome.  And in this case, I think the policemen, heroes all, may have misheard what they thought they heard.  My two cents.

Again - if it's research that shows there's an afterlife, it's worth examining.  If it showed the opposite I'd report that as well.  I think there's quite a bit of it out there if people have an open mind about it.  And that's how I approached this account as well - with an open mind.  Hope you do as well!

Deepak Chopra's Million Dollar Consciousness Challenge

Deepak Chopra's One Million Dollar Challenge to the Skeptics

“Please explain the so-called normal, how does electricity going to the brain become the experience of a 3D world of space and time. If you can explain that, then you get a million dollars from me."
Deepak Chopra

So the world's foremost "gadfly of consciousness" has issued a challenge (ala the skeptics of the planet and "the amazing randi" and his "million dollar challenge" to prove ESP) to prove what "reality" is.  (for randi's challenge: http://www.skepdic.com/randi.html)

Let's start with the definition of skeptic.

The definition of skeptic is:

A person who doubts the truth or value of an idea or belief: (Cambridge Edition) or

noun

1.
a person who questions the validity or authenticity of something
purporting to be factual.
2.
a person who maintains a doubting attitude, as toward values,
plans, statements, or the character of others.
3.
a person who doubts the truth of a religion, especially Christianity,
or of important elements of it.
4.
(initial capital letterPhilosophy.
  1. a member of a philosophical school of ancient Greece, the earliest
  2. group of which consisted of Pyrrho and his followers, who
  3. maintained that real knowledge of things is impossible.
  4. any later thinker who doubts or questions the possibility
  5. of real knowledge of any kind.

A skeptic is someone who doesn't believe in the prevailing school of thought.

And the prevailing school of thought about consciousness is this: it all arises in the brain.

Forget for a moment about the "paranormal."  Let's define "normal" for a moment.

What's happening in the brain? Why is it self aware or thinking?  When a child remembers a past life are they delusional? When a person hears a voice and steps back from a speeding car racing by, and no one is around - who told them to step back?  Is everything we see and hear created by the brain?

Or is it created somewhere else?

I would argue that Deepak's challenge to prove reality - or consciousness - is like those who want to disprove the paranormal.  First we have to agree on the definitions of what we're talking about - and in so doing we have to agree on each particular word, perhaps even agree on the particular letters. Skeptic or sceptic.  We can't even agree on the danged word to begin with.

But let's put this to rest, shall we?  Let's answer the million dollar challenge.  "Explain the so-called normal, how does electricity going to the brain become the experience of a 3D world of space and time?"

The answer is pretty simple.
(Profoundly simple, simply profound.)

Consciousness works just like an FM receiver works.  The brain is an instrument that has been honed and altered over millennia, but functions the same way that an FM receiver does.

The consciousness receiver by Yamaha

There are filters to keep certain information out (below 20 Hz or above 20K hz aren't accessible) the amperage only goes so high, the output is onlyo so many watts per channel, otherwise we would blow the speakers.  The receiver is off when it is in the womb, until about the 4th month (according to the many reports I've gathered from NDEs or LBLs) and then the receiver is turned on (people claim we "merge" with the fetus around the 4th month).

There's a lot more information that is available to the receiver then it initial receives while it boots up.

It takes about 7 years for all the circuits to actually form and shape themselves until the back and forth ability to experience other wave lengths eventually becomes moot. (Just the way some kids can remember past lives but no longer do after the age of 7 or 8 - others can experience other dimensions or pick up signals from other realms (just the way bees can see other visible spectrums), and others have different frequencies accessible to them, as mediums do).

But ultimately, the receiver is accessing information that is being broadcast to it - it translates that information into dreams, hopes, and consciousness.

Each receiver is different, or at least different enough so that no two circuit boards are the same (even identical twins have different dreams and moments of consciousness - sometimes they can feel what the other twin is feeling, but that's because the receivers are so similar - but not exactly the same.)

However, there is a fundamental difference in this model that I'm describing, and this is why it's worth a million bucks.

Because it's not based on karma or previous editions of the same receiver - the conscious mind exists as a sub unit in this other realm, or the realm outside the receiver and CHOOSES which receiver its going to work with based on a number of factors that have mostly to do with compassion (or agreements, or helping others).

Not all receivers have all their dials and switches intact however, and when a person chooses a faulty one things can go awry - it's a bit like cranking up the tunes, turning all the dials to 10 at once - you may think that's going to work in theory, but it can actually overheat the system, blow speakers, or cause damage to the system.  However, you wouldn't know that unless you tried it once or twice.  (or over a few lifetimes).

I've laid this all out in my work; "Flipside: ATourist's Guide on How to Navigate the Afterlife" (#1 in all its genres at amazon twice) and the two volumes of the new work that interviews scientists that prove my theory (called "It's A Wonderful Afterlife" - volume one is available now, and volume two soon to come.)  This theory is based on the past 6 years of filming people under deep hypnosis, and then expanding the research into near death experiences, out of body experiences, and the scientists who have been on the cutting edge of studying consciousness (Dr. Bruce Greyson at UVA - see his "Is Consciousness Created by the Brain?" on youtube) and Mario Beauregard, a neuroscientist in Montreal (wrote "Brain Wars") RobertThurman and Gary Schwartz PhD ("Sacred Promise").

When you combine the research you can see pretty clearly that the brain functions as a receiver of information - but like an FM receiver in your home, it is limited by its construction but at the same time can play some pretty awesome tunes.

The music isn't created by the machine itself, but it does an amazing job of translating waves and energy into sound.  The same happens with the brain, but in a much more multifaceted, multidimensional way - but the function is the same.

Consciousness doesn't come straight from the source to our unit - then all the units would play the same song.  We exist as fully formed individuals between lives, and send about a third of our spirit energy to any particular incarnation. (This is based on the over 10K interviews done under hypnosis by Dr. Michael Newton and Dr. HelenWambach).

According to one person we would "blow the circuits" if we brought too much energy to a lifetime.  Just the way we would "blow the circuits" if we had all of our consciousness downloaded into the FM receiver at once.

When we come here, we do so to learn and teach - and there are filters in place so we don't remember all of our previous lifetimes.  A bit like random access memory (RAM), so that not all the information is accessible at one time.  That function is two fold - we don't spend all day thinking about all of our different lifetimes, and we're able to focus on the obstacles and joy in the one we're currently in.

We spend our lifetime (or life of the FM receiver) making people happy (happy tunes) or sad (catharsis is involved) as we affect and change and learn from every song we play, every function we perform. And at the end, our circuits eventually burn out.  However, just like the many studies of the brain, people do suddenly access their consciousness at death - in England, the reports are as high as 70% of nurses with alzheimers patients that claim in the last minutes, sometimes hours, sometimes days prior to death, they suddenly are lucid and remember their lifetime with clarity. (For the cite for this see the above talk given by Dr. Greyson - it's statistical research, not hopeful speculation.)

And after these folks have died, autopsies reveal that their brain was not capable of these "higher functions" - that there's no earthly or physical reason they should have been able to be fully conscious and speak with clarity about their lives.

The reason is because as the brain and body have died, the filters that keep out consciousness have "died" as well - and are shut off.  Unfortunately it's only for a few minutes, or hours, or even days - but it allows loved ones to say goodbye. What I'm talking about her are scientific results that are consistent and are replicable.  And at the heart of science is the idea that if you can repeat an experiment under certain conditions, whatever the result is the answer, whether we like that answer, whether we believe that answer, whether it's worth a million dollars or not.

And that, my dear Deepak (whom I met once many years ago in La Jolla) is the answer to your million dollar question.  The electricity that goes to the brain functions just like the electricity that goes to power up a receiver of music.

It's not the receiver that is creating the 3D experience, the electricity is just powering up the unit that receives, processes and filters the information its receiving (which you could call radiating waves of consciousness (in a back and forth conversation with our higher selves) that allow us to experience reality.

Once all the circuits of the receiver are up and running, it can process its own myriad of information, including bodily function - but the "mind" or "consciousness" that makes us aware of our world around us comes from elsewhere, works with the circuits in the particular unit and creates (or helps formulate) who we are in temporary, yet high fidelity form. Crank up the volume.

Hope this helps.  Rich Martini

Analyzing John Brooks Dream about the winning goal in the US World Cup match

Analyzing John Brooks’ Dream About Scoring The Winning Goal

APTOPIX Brazil Soccer WCup Ghana US

United States' John Brooks celebrates after scoring his side's second goal during the group G World Cup soccer match between Ghana and the United States at the Arena das Dunas in Natal, Brazil on June 16, 2014.Ricardo Mazalan—AP

Two days ago, US soccer player John Brooks dreamed about the game-winning he goal he made. Here’s what science says about that

Wouldn’t it be nice if our dreams were like a crystal ball that foretold our future? That every night as we slumbered, we’d learn if we’re going to get a raise, or win the lottery, or, if you’re like soccer player John Brooks, find out you will use your head to score a last-minute goal in a World Cup game?

Last night, the soccer player scored a goal in the 86th minute, which was an unlikely turn of events because he was not a starting player—in fact, he’s a back-up defender, and defenders hardly ever get substituted. When asked about the goal, he said he dreamed it—even the part about it being after the 80-minute mark and using his head to get the ball in the goal.

Of course his dream was not literally “predictive” but it begs the question: Can dreams prime us for success in waking life?

THIS IS NOT ACCURATE. HIS DREAM WAS 'LITERALLY PREDICTIVE.' HE DREAMED HE WAS GOING TO BE SUBSTITUTED. (HE WAS) HE DREAMED HE WAS GOING TO WIN THE GAME WITH A HEADER. (HE DID) HE DREAMED HE WAS GOING TO DO IT IN THE 80TH MINUTE (IT WAS THE 86TH). HE TOLD HIS FRIENDS ABOUT IT (WITNESSES).  IF THIS ISN'T PREDICTIVE, THEN WHAT IS?

Dreams (are) a combination of what we have already experienced and the things that occupy our minds during the day, says Antonio Zadra, professor of psychology at University of Montreal who studies dreams. “People have dreams related to their current concerns and preoccupations,” says Zadra. “In all of these players’ cases, [playing in the World Cup] is an ongoing drive, so it’s not surprising that it impinges on their dreams.”

MIGHT HAVE ASKED MARIO BEAUREGARD, NEUROSCIENTIST AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MONTREAL, AUTHOR OF "BRAIN WARS" IF CONSCIOUSNESS IS RELEGATED TO THE BRAIN; HIS RESEARCH SHOWS THAT IT IS NOT. SAME AS DR. BRUCE GREYSON AT UVA. SCIENCE SHOWS THAT CONSCIOUSNESS IS NOT NECESSARILY CREATED IN THE BRAIN.

And Brooks, like any good player, would likely want to prove his prowess on the field, making it likely that would show up in his dreams. And it makes sense that he dreamed of making the goal in the 80th minute, late in the game, since he isn’t part of the starting lineup.

HE COULD HAVE CHOSEN ANY MINUTE UP TO THE 90TH TO WIN THE GAME. WHY CHOOSE THE 80TH? THE QUESTION SHOULD BE - WHY WAS HE SIX MINUTES OFF? NOT "WAS HIS DREAM PREDICTIVE?"  IT WAS. THIS SCIENTIST QUOTED IS INACCURATE. ARTICLE DIDN'T FACTOR IN THAT IT WAS RARE HE WAS SUBSTITUTED, AND NO SUB HAS EVER SCORED A GOAL IN THE HISTORY OF THE US TEAM.

Still, says Zadra, dreams can be self-fulfilling. Similar to the way that visualization works, Zadra says that having positive dreams can feed into real-life outcomes. “During REM sleep, all the areas of the brain responsible for controlling motor behavior are activated as if you were awake,” he says. “If you are dreaming of skiing or scoring a goal or playing the piano, your brain is actually commanding all the motor areas as if you were awake.” Part of the brain stem inhibits the actual movement so you don’t hurt yourself while you sleep, but as far as your brain is concerned, you “live” whatever you dream.

“If Brooks dreamed that he scored the goal, all of that feeds into his instinctive reactions, and it’s one more positive thing going into the instinctive and instantaneous decisions that he makes on the pitch.”

Of course, the flip side is that negative experiences in dreamland can have make you feel less confident and potentially less capable in waking life. So while it’s not exactly “scientific, “what your first coach and your parents always told you is probably good advice: think positive, and good things will happen. Maybe.

'HOW DID JOHN BROOKS KNOW HE WAS GOING TO WIN THE GAME?' IS THE QUESTION. I WISH IT HAD BEEN ASKED.

Okay, that's Time Magazine's version.

They didn't address the dream AT ALL.

This athlete, who was the least likely man to score a winning goal in this game - a team HE'D NEVER PLAYED WITH THE US TEAM IN A MATCH.  Let me repeat that. It was his first time playing with this team in a match.

He dreamed it was a HEADER. Not a kick with his foot. Not a bicycle kick, or something really spectacular like Pele's many winning kicks.  It was EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.
He dreamed it was in the 86th minute. He was 6 minutes off.

The point is - this is an one more FLIPSIDE example - ABSOLUTE PROOF - that consciousness isn't created by the brain.  This event happened two days prior in his head. He witnessed the future - or the future presented itself to him in some manner, like the slice of a hologram.

I myself have had the exact same thing happen to me.  When I was going to school in Rome in 1975 I dreamt I met Lina Wertmuller on an elevator and she was wearing white framed glasses. I told my friends. I had never met her, but knew of her films.  Two years later, I saw she was in San Francisco where I was working and asked a magazine if they wanted me to interview her. (I remembered the dream). They asked me to interview Giancarlo Giannini instead. So I did. But the day I went to meet him in the lobby of the hotel, I was in the elevator when it stopped on her floor and she got on wearing white framed glasses. EXACTLY AS I'D DREAMED IT TWO YEARS BEFORE.  Not kind of. It was not my desire to know her, to meet her, to have anything to do with her at that point in time. I had yet to be in film school.  But after the interview, I did pursue a career in film, which I've been doing for the past umpteen years.  So - the dream occurred, it eventually did have an effect on my life. BUT IT WAS NOT WISHFUL THINKING.

How could John Brooks have created this dream in advance and then it occurred? Modern materialist science has no answer for it.  And within this Time Magainze article, they don't offer one.

Well - there is an answer. It's in the research done by Bruce Greyson at UVA. It's in the research done by Gary E Schwartz at University of Arizona. It's in the research by neuroscientist Mario Beauregard. and it's in the research I've done for the book and film FLIPSIDE.

CONSCIOUSNESS IS NOT NECESSARILY CREATED BY THE BRAIN.

Let me say it again. Consciousness isn't necessarily in our brains in the first place.  John Brooks dreamt he was going to score the winning goal, with a header, after being substituted into the game, in the 80th minute. He told his friends about the dream. They can corroborate what he said.  HE SAW THE EVENT IN ADVANCE.

It was not WISHFUL THINKING.  There's nothing wishful about it. Why not wish for a running kick? Why not for a "Bend it like Beckham" goal? Why the 80th minute? Why after a substitution?

No sub in the history of the United States team has EVER SCORED A GOAL during match play.  So there's no reason for him to have dreamt it, because it had never, ever happened. And the likelihood of his being called upon to score the goal is extremely small.  The odds of this happening are not calculable.

So why not say so?  Why pretend that it's something in the realm of possiblity when it's not?

The answer is that if you examine the data, the research behind NDEs and LBLs, you'll find that consciousness may not be created by the brain.  If you want a scientist lecturing about it, WATCH THIS.  If you want to learn about it for yourself, then READ THIS.

Happy to say that I will examine this case and many many others in the next installment of FLIPSIDE

IT'S A WONDERFUL AFTERLIFE.

Thank you. (Oh, and nice goal John. Thanks for sharing your dream as well!!!!)

"Heaven is for Real" Faith based or Science based? You decide

The headline for this story shouldn't be

‘Heaven Is for Real’ Rides Faith-Based Wave to Big Easter Score at Box Office

This is a film that talks about the afterlife to be sure.  It talks about "Heaven" as well.  And there is a lot of prayer involved in this film, from the parents and those who feared Todd's son Colton Burpo's death.  And he survived his NDE (near death experience) as thousands have done before him.

But this film is contrary to the dogma that has been taught be Churches for centuries. A "Near Death Experience" has been studied by peer reviewed journals- (see Dr. Bruce Greyson's work at UVA for references in how it is categorized by his studies) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPGZSC8odIU

What this film shows is the EVIDENCE that occurs while having a Near Death Experience.  This boy's father is a Minister and he didn't believe what his son experienced because it flew in the face of everything he'd been taught, everything he believed.  But he had the SAME EXPERIENCE that is cataloged in THOUSANDS OF ACCOUNTS of people having NDE's, or LBLs.  It's the same reports of "an afterlife" of "seeing loved ones no longer on the planet" of "celestial music" of a "feeling of seeing or being connected to a creator or god" - the same.

His son saw relatives he wasn't aware of (a sister who died at birth), saw people who appeared to him at the age they wanted to appear as ("everyone in heaven is young") - these are the IDENTICAL ACCOUNTS that are reported in "Flipside." It's not based on faith, or belief, or a religion.  It's based on the data.  Easy to call this a "faith based" story.  But   it's "Fact based."

I recommend seeing this film based on the trailer alone. Based on the science that Dr. Greyson "(Irreducible Mind"), Dr. Mario Beauregard ("Brain Wars") Gary Schwartz PhD ("Afterlife Experiments") Michael Newton ("Journey of Souls") Dr. Helen Wambach ("Life Before Life") have done - cataloging, reporting. Sharing the DATA.

Flipside Redux

Flipside Redux: Received an amazingly generous donation from a Pulitzer prize winning author for the sequel to Flipside. How cool is that? I'm in the midst of transcribing interviews with neuroscientists (Mario Beuregard, Bruce Greyson) interviews with scientists (Gary Schwartz) with hypnotherapists (Pete Smith, Scott De Tamble) about the latest research and reports from the afterlife.

I made a documentary (FlipsideTheFilm.com) about what thousands say about the afterlife under deep hypnosis; the book became a best seller in its genre at Amazon (#1 twice - FlipsideTheBook.com) and I took to crowd funding to help finance the sequel. I've been filming between life sessions with a number of friends, strangers, also gathering sessions from therapists nationwide, and interviewing post materialist scientists about their findings that coincide with the research I've been doing.

The new book explores near death experiences and how they coincide with between life hypnosis and scientists weigh in on the evidence they've found that consciousness can exist outside the brain. There are some other surprises inside, interviews with folks I didn't know I'd be able to reach. Right now it's weighing in around 500 pages, and I'll pare that to something that won't hurt your hands or mangle your kindle.

The research is basic, the results less so. What they report is;We don't die. That's the good news. The bad news; we don't die. Meaning, we've got a mountain of new lifetimes, adventures, and lessons to learn about why we chose this particular lifetime, those we've affected or helped (or hurt) during it, and how in the future we can learn from those explorations.

The book is not based on belief, philosophy or a desire - just eyewitness accounts from people who've taken this trip, and the scientists who corroborate what they're saying. Shy of a near death experience, it's the closest I've found where people have a consensus about what happens in the afterlife. Stay tuned, and thanks for the support. http://www.gofundme.com/FlipsideTheSequel

Please help fund the sequel to "Flipside"

Hi.   An update on "Flipside" and a link if you'd like to invest in the sequel! (please forward this if you think it is for someone you know who is "into" this sort of thing).

We had the "afterlife convention" here in Santa Monica this past weekend, (afterlifeconvention.com) with scientists, doctors and spiritual folks  weighing in with experiences, stories, and films about the latest research in the field.

Princeton grad Paul Davids spoke about his film "Life after Death" film which contains 40 different bits of evidence of contact (He was making a doc about atheist/sci fi writer Forrest Ackerman, contacts Davids documented and had science labs examine.)  Harvard/Yale/University of Arizona's Gary Schwartz talked about his latest research using triple blind studies to show how spirit communication can be documented with scientific protocol. Dr. Ken Stoller spoke about his ongoing conversations with his son who passed some years back, and Dr Rajiv Parti described his near death experience which altered his world view, caused him to dramatically change his course to become a motivational speaker.

NY Medium Pattie Canova talked about growing up on the streets of NY, and how "hearing voices" and then predicting events affected her life.  Two hypnotherapists trained by Michael Newton spoke, Savarna Wiley talked about the trends that are being reported by their therapists worldwide, where people claim that the "veil is thinning" when it comes to contact with lost loved ones, and Scott De Tamble, who is featured in "Flipside", led the crowd in a group session of past life/between life therapy - I heard some pretty dramatic stories about what these people think they heard or saw I'd like to include in the next book.

So I've created a "GoFundMe" site to further this research, pay the rent, and if you can manage to donate something, anything, it would be greatly appreciated.  I used Kickstarter for my Earhart project but since I didn't reach the goal, funds weren't "allocated." (Thankfully other investors came forward and I wound up going to Saipan and collecting evidence anyway - results are at EarhartOnSaipan.com). GoFundMe is different, as whatever you can donate goes to the project.

Thank you!!!

Flipside moment for the day: when you examine the moment you met your soul mate, the person you felt you were always connected to - that's when you experience something that's "out of time" or beyond easy comprehension. When you examine that moment - "I felt comfortable" "I felt home" are responses I've heard - its a confirmation that you're on the path you're supposed to be on - you're doing what you're supposed to be doing, what you signed up to do and reconnecting with someone who had signed up to do the same. It's those "aha" moments I'm researching.

I need your help to finish my next book "Flipside II; The Veil is Thinning." I've written the first book "Flipside: A Tourist's Guide On How To Navigate the Afterlife " (which has gone to #1 in its genre on Amazon - twice!) The documentary is available on Amazon as well - but I've dropped everything to continue filming sessions of people under deep hypnosis, where they say basically the same things about the afterlife as the others have said, only more profoundly so! I'm trying to focus on just writing that new book, but it's a scramble to do so. So I thought, well, if you're a fan of the work, and you can afford to, please help support me in this research, and writing the second book in this series. My wife and kids will thank you too!

This is the cover of the previous book - new book will have new cover.
