Talking to Helen Wambach

Here's a three hour film about past life regression that includes a past life regression with one of its pioneers.

This film is a compilation of research I've been doing about Dr. Helen Wambach.  A clinical psychologist with a PhD from JFK University, she pioneered past life regression in the 1970s.

Dr. Helen Wambach. Born in my hometown Chicago, died in San Rafael, CA

She wrote two books on her research, "Reliving Past Lives" and "Life Before Life." I was startled that her data was identical to Michael Newton and the Newton Institute's reports a decade later. Identical to the 100 cases I've filmed - both with people under hypnosis ("Flipside" "It's a Wonderful Afterlife" "Hacking the Afterlife") and without "Architecture of the Afterlife."

I was startled when one of her friends sent me original tapes of one of her past life regression sessions.

She's a pioneer in the field - this was recorded in 1979 in Chicago by one of her pals.  She had already published "Reliving Past Lives" with 2000 cases of hypnosis - which I highly recommend reading as she uses historical records to verify their memories.

This was part of the 750 more cases she included in "Life Before Life." When this friend sent me the original tapes, I wondered what to do with them - they're a historical artifact - perhaps they belong in a museum.

So I asked Helen what to do with them.

Fans of flipside research know that the past 5 years I've been talking to people on the flipside directly via Jennifer Shaffer ("Backstage Pass to the Flipside" part one, two and book 3).

That footage - of us speaking directly to Helen is at the end of this piece - and why the film is 3 hours long.  It's not for the casual observer - this footage is for the serious student of past life regression, for the serious student of consciousness research, or for the person who has 3 hours in captivity due to a pandemic to open their horizons in ways they didn't think possible.

Normally I recommend a person only do a past life regression with a trained hypnotherapist present - (I recommend hypnotherapists trained by the Newton Institute as I've filmed many, they have a searchable database on their website) but as she points out, we have nothing to fear from examining a dream. Hypno - dream - osis - study.

I used some of my music throughout and the footage of outer space courtesy of NASA.  One can listen to this a bit at a time - the first half hour is her talking about her research and what she's learned.  The second portion is a guided regression - where people are encouraged to "write down" their impressions.

She talks about mailing in those responses - she's no longer on the planet, but I can offer my quora com forum - "Hacking the Afterlife" as a place to put those responses, or via email to me (MartiniProds at Gmail) or just think of them as a mental exercise.

No need to take it too seriously - after all we're just pretending that we can access something that's not in our conscious minds.

Hypnosis has a bad rap - because of stage hypnosis, because of Hollywood pretending it's something it is not - it's just "talking to someone who is asleep."  When they wake up they don't retain negative imagery or thoughts - they aren't toying with anything other than their higher selves.

Having done this for so long I know guides will send folks this page if they think it's important to do so - and for those who should not be examining previous lifetimes for whatever reason (it may disrupt the path they chosen in this lifetime) they will suggest clicking away.

I will as well - if the idea of hypnosis is bothersome or in any way contrary to one's belief system - ignore this film. Nothing can harm anyone from watching this film - I've listened to her session in detail, she is a licensed psychologist, a scientist using a technique she's used hundreds of times before.

Couple of days ago, I asked a friend of mine what I should do with this film - and he said "Why don't you ask Helen through Jennifer?" I remembered we had spoken to Helen, watched that two year old clip, and then heard Jennifer say "She's telling you to put it at the end of the project."

Well - this is the project made two years later, and since Helen was outside of time, she knew I was referring to this film even before I knew what I was referring to, because no film existed. Now it does.

I must say that instead of charging people to watch this - I suggest a modest donation to my GoFundMe page (GoFundMe.com/RichMartini) to support the research.  Or get a copy of one of the books - the most recent being "Backstage Pass to the Flipside 3" (interviews with Jennifer) or "Architecture of the Afterlife" - interviews with people not under hypnosis accessing the flipside, their past lives, and everything that is discussed in this film.

Some people need to hear or access this information and don't have anything to donate that's fine. Think of it as a gift from Helen.  But for the price of a Grande Latte at the Starbucks down the block - one can access something pretty rare - a live past life regression with one of its pioneers.

Enjoy. But buckle up.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx4g8YjOOz0&feature=youtu.be

Talking to Helen Wambach

Dreams can be Gateways to the Flipside

Got this unusual email today from a reader.  Asked if it was okay to share her dream, and my response to it.

What are dreams anyway?

We know what they are reflexively.  "Working out the details of the day."  But sometimes we have dreams that don't feel like dreams. They feel like reality.

Except they don't follow the rules of reality.

So what are those events? Visions?

(Funny how the Tinglit ("eskimo") have dozens of word for "snow" and the Bushmen of South Africa have dozens of words for "water" but we have one word for a vision while our body is asleep.)

I have always been fascinated by the Aboriginal, indigenous peoples of Australia, who during the 40K documented years as a society have evolved to a point where they consider being asleep as connecting with their relatives - "dream time" is reality, while "walking around the planet during the day" is more like a false reality - a dream.

So if you spend one third of your life (sleeping 8 hours) in "reality" - what does that say about what the rest of your life is like?  That what happens in your dreams might be more real than your reality?

Here's the email:

"Hello!  I am loving your book.  I’m about half-way through it, and it is wonderful to have access to your wisdom, from which I can learn.

On June 12, 2008, I had a not-of-this-world experience...  I am a writer and insurance agent now, written two books.  I’m from KY, got my law license in 1998/still have my law license but now I live in FL.

I’ve lived here for 5 years and love it here.  I wanted to change my career b/c the negativity of practicing law is a real downer, though I’ve had some great experiences too.  Fighting all the time is very depressing to the soul.  What happened to me in 2008 was a motivator/impetus for my change in career.

On June 12, 2008, I was up late as usual.  I worked all the time.  Crazy hours.  I had just finished a federal trial... in the federal USDCourt. (The 6th Circuit case was reversed, published/sent back down and I tried it, etc.)  Though I’ve lost my *ss on my cases, this was a good one.  Got a good verdict/just me handling the case.  I recall, however, very little about the trial.  It was like I was in  a zone or something.  The Judge (had) this particular case as his first civil case as a judge on the federal bench.

Long story short, on the night of June 11th, 2008 my little girl, was up very late.  My husband and I adopted her from Russia when she was about 2 years old.  She will be 13 this year.  After we adopted, I had gotten pregnant (by the grace of God) and we now have a little boy, age 10.

About 11:30 ish or so and I went to bed.  I had put our daughter to bed in her bedroom, but as soon as I got in the bed I heard little footsteps, etc. and she was getting into bed with me to sleep with my husband and I, which was typical.

So I tucked her in with me and I looked at the clock.  I told her that it was almost her birthday (June 12th), the best day of my life, the day that she was born in Russia, and how I loved her and Russia so much.  With smiles, etc. we went to sleep.

Around 2:30ish in the morning, I was awakened.

And I mean literally “awakened.”  There is no chance whatsoever I was dreaming.  Please know this.  We had a big canopy bed which we just sold a few months ago here in FL where I live…  And we were in that same bed in Kentucky at that time…

To the right of me was a man in what I  now known is an “orb.”  Silvery shimmersih, ovalish….  (I’d never even heard of an “orb” before/honestly).

I could see his face moving somewhat, real-time….closer and then farther away as if he was moving, etc. slightly within the silvery circle of light.  I’d say the orb was about 2 feet in width, etc. roughly or maybe a little less.

It was just his face in the orb, unlike the being to the left of me which I will discuss later…  The man had dark brown hair and looked about 55ish or so…

Receding hairline, and it looked like he may have had some facial acne scarring, not exactly sure.  I recall simply that this face wasn’t perfectly smooth, etc.  He definitely had brown hair and brown eyes and was middle age, though I must say that it was more silvery shimmerish (silver backlit) though I am certain that he was dark haired and dark eyes.

My instinct was that it was a paternal connection, not necessarily a fatherly figure but perhaps, maybe an uncle or one watching over me.  I did not (and do not) recognize him.  He appeared maybe Egyptian or Middle-Eastern, I’m not exactly sure.

To my left, there was a man in a long white robe.  It was formal though plain at the same time.  Linen or something.  Not colonial.  But very distinguished.  Very high order.

He had purple all around him, and the purple was moving, it being waves.  It was energy in motion.  I now know that this was his aura.

It was the most amazing purple that I have ever seen, not sure that I can replicate what I saw by way of description.  Recently, I noticed a bunch of purple flowers growing out of a bush, and that was the closest purple that I have ever seen to the purple on 6/12/08.  Vivid, vivid, vivid.  A purple like I had never seen before.

He was beautiful.  The most beautiful eyes that I have ever seen in my entire life.  He looked about 35ish or so.  Very handsome.  Shoulder length brown hair and it was tasseled though not unkempt.  Very high order.

He appeared from his torso up, the purple then all around him in perimeter about 3 feet wide roughly all around him.  The purple waves at the end of the perimeter were moving, literally, waives.  Energy in action.  His eyes - I cannot say how vivid, how strikingly beautiful.  No beard.  Clean shaven.  Very formal and distinguished.

When I was awakened, it was absolute DIRECT EYE CONTACT from the man to my left in the robe/purple all around him.  I could tell (though I heard nothing) that they were communicating, the two of them.  -though not by spoken word.

The man to the left was not in an orb, but was “THERE” right in front of me, whether you call it 3d, 4d, or whatever I’m not sure.  It was as if he were right in front of me, though floating above me, not too far above and from me.  Maybe a foot or so in the air from me, away from me.  Very close to me.

The direct eye contact that I experienced gave me a feeling that I am not doing what I am supposed to be doing.  That I was meant to write.

The man to the right also had direct eye contact with me, though I believe he was there more of a guide and helper to the man on my left, who I believe with all of my heart was Jesus (in the robe), though no words were spoken.  If he wasn’t Jesus, then a different archangel.  The man to the left was effectuating the meeting, that was clear.  However, the man to the right was present and a part of it.

Before this time, I had always had strange experiences throughout my life.  However, I grew up in a wonderful, middle-class conservative home.  I attended a Christian Church in Kentucky.  I come from a family of attorneys/my dad is a country attorney and farmer.  Suffice it to say that “new age concepts” was not in my portfolio.....

It happened twice on June 12, 2008.

The first time I told myself it had to be a dream, scared of not-of-this-world aspects.  I’d say 2-3 minutes each time.  After the first awakening, it happened again about 45ish minutes later that same night.

When I looked at both of them, and back to the man on my left the second time, (telling myself to be strong, that it was not a dream), and saw the purple waves moving the second time, I screamed and pulled the covers up above my head.  Not that I thought I would ever be hurt, for I certainly felt safe and sure.  It was simply not of this world.  And that was scary, difficult to reconcile with the material world, it being clearly not of this world or dimension.

When I did that, I saw the man to the left in the robe back away with my eyes as I was in the act of pulling the covers over my eyes, and then they disappeared.

After this experience, for about a week, I had many strange experiences...  However, I was forever changed, awakened.  I think about it a lot.  I would love to explore who this holy being was…and its meaning in broader ways and implications.
....

I have no past drug use. I think that I’ve smoked marijuana twice in my entire life.  I don’t think that it’s some drug hallucination at all.  I’m positive that it genuinely happened.  I privately spoke with a minister about it when it happened (about 6 months after it happened), and he pretty much blew me off “respectfully.”

After this event, I began reading, reading, reading everything that I could get my hands on.  From writings about Catholic saints to Doreen Virtue, to Seth Speaks, to a Course in Miracles, to Caroline Myss, (I could go on and on and on)….. and the closest thing that I can match it with was a piece about Teresa of Avila where she writes about someone who visited her.

I found a picture on Facebook which I sent to my sister a few months ago about what the robed man looked like/similar.  I will try to find that picture.

I am a vivid dreamer.  I dream like crazy every day it seems.  However, this was not a dream, 100%.

I am loving your book!  I work out on the treadmill and listen to Audible.com books while working out.   I sincerely thank you again for your precious time...." (Leslie from FL)

So this was my reply, edited: (by the way, I'm happy to share this woman's name and her book - to whomever asks, but because I feel it's important to examine what she remembers of her dream, so I'm making this an anonymous post.)

My reply:

"Thanks for the email. Wow. What a fun adventure you've had.

How to examine this vision? (I know what you mean by "not being a dream." It's just a shame we don't have different words for different dreams - we are just stuck with "dream."  It's not a dream, but it's not "real time" either.) I would suggest the best path forward for you is to examine all of it the way you would a case.

Just examine the facts and try your best to not make any judgments until you've seen all the facts you can.  There's is a reason that you have a legal mind - and a reason you want to write about it as well.  I could point you to many lawyers who write successfully (fiction) but suffice to say, having an ability to "make your case" is of value. So allow that you've always been on the right path.

In "It's a Wonderful Afterlife" an attorney contacted me and told me that in 30 years of practice, all of her clients - second degree murder cases - had told her they had a "vision, dream or were visited by a physical manifestation of their victims."

I asked her "how many cases?" She said "all of them."  She said that in each case, the perpetrator would get a message from his or her victim in essence "I'm okay and I can help you."  Needless to say,the attorney couldn't share it with anyone, nor could her clients.  But I shared her story anonymously in the book.

I have gathered many stories of people having visitations of this kind - I mean Michael Newton discusses them in his books, in my case I've interviewed a number of folks to probe deeper.  Which is something you should do.

First to identify the characters in your vision - I think there's a reason why this Egyptian fellow (let's just call him that) showed up - and it's likely (based on my research) that he's related to you or your daughter (or family). (A way of saying that his presence - whether a product of your subconscious, or a product of his appearance - may be related to her.)

But before you consider that concept - you should read the books by Michael Newton because you'll see the reports that people tend to incarnate with their fellow loved ones, and they tend to show up to them in different ways.

I've spoken to a number of adoptees and adopters under deep hypnosis - and they claim consistently that it's no mistake that they "found their parents."  Literally claiming that they chose their parents, just the way we do in life.  And further, that if you think of the complicated journey that she took to find you - that's for a good reason as well.  You may be able to access that journey or that information by seeing a Michael Newton trained hypnotherapist.

(you can find a list of therapists trained by Newton at the Newton Institute . org - searchable database.)

So back to your vision - yes, the people who show up in purple are generally known as "older wiser guides."  Michael Newton points out that they often appear as avatars, to make the person seeing them more comfortable - because if you're having a vision (sometimes during a near death event) it's much easier to be greeted by Jesus (or Mohammed if you're Muslim, or Buddha, Krishna, etc) when you need to be told that "It's not your time, you have to go back.

These are common events in near death experiences, so common there are groups around the world that talk about them (international association of near death studies - I speak at their groups often, if you look me up at MartiniProds on youtube.)

So on one hand - you have your guide, the purple fellow (Michael Newton discovered in "Destiny of Souls" that the older and wiser souls are, the darker their "colors" vibrate - like young souls are more on the white/yellow visible spectrum, and the wiser ones are in the blue/purple spectrum.")

This is not a "hierarchy" by any means - many people ask their guides (via a hypnotherapist) what their "color is" - and then emerge from their session feeling less than or more than... but the truth is that we are all equal - those of us starting out, those of us towards the other side... it's not a judgment call.

If you're still with me - on one side you have a guide "posing" as Jesus-like, or you have Jesus himself stopping by to advise you on some level - "You need to write" is a good message, but it isn't "you need to give up everything, sell your home and clothes, stop doing law and become a starving writer" - or he would have said that.

After all -  "You need to write" isn't really a concept over there. As you noted, they don't use language over on the Flipside, so he's not saying "you need to go around and lecture and talk about me" either - he's really just saying "you need to express yourself and your truth." And who wouldn't benefit from that?

Does this make sense?  We tend to take what we hear from people over there as dictum - especially when channelers do it - "this is the truth and you must listen to me!"

But the truth is - the people that we channel or talk to over there are just like us - they're off the planet to be sure, but they are only aware of all the lifetimes they've had, all the journeys they've been through, and they may not know the answer to your question, but they're not in a position to say "I don't know, that's above my paygrade" so they may answer the question with the best of their ability - but it may not be accurate.

Like the Seth books - I can point to a number of things that are arguably wrong about them - and I have endless arguments with people about the topic - but suffice to say Seth only knew or knows what he knows. He's not all knowing. He's not omniscient.

If you ask Seth about "how do I turn salt water to fresh water for pennies?" he's going to refer you to someone else (an engineer perhaps).

(As you can tell it's something I spend my time doing - asking questions to people on the flipside to see what they have to say.  And often I argue with them as well... and I must say it's fun to hear them say "well, you're accurate, but it's not easy to express that concept to someone still on the planet.")

Now.. back to your vision.  Avatar/guide on one side, dressed as he would be dressed, emanating an energy that is consistent with "older, wiser" guide (people call them archangels - but that's just a place holder for "older wiser fellow.")

But they are accessible at any time.

It's interesting that it happened twice.  Your conscious mind was of course not aware of the time between seeing them the first and second time - but your higher conscious mind is aware of that conversation.

I suggest the following to access this dream again. Because your mind has no delete key. Everything that happens to you - whether you're asleep or awake - is stored. We can't access those files because then we'd get nothing done. But they are accessible. I've proven this in my books where I get people who've had near death experiences to experience them again, and see more details.

Try an experiment.  I want you to invite your sister to do this with you. She's going to play the role of your guide, and ask (a number of) questions, and record whatever you say.  Have your sister read the questions aloud, and you open your mind (and heart) to the answers. (I'm choosing your sister, because like a good detective, you included her channeling abilities in this story - but she's not going to channel for you - she's just going to be a tour guide in this case. If she can't or won't do it - anyone who isn't judgmental will suffice.)

(I won't reproduce the questions here - perhaps in a book in the future, but they're all about "who are you? Where do I know you from? Have we met before? Show me where that was. What are you hear to tell me? What was the conversation that I missed?")

Think of this is a "trip into my subconscious" - but more like an e-ticket to your dream.  Don't forget to record it (cellphone or some other way) because you will want to listen back to it, or transcribe it later.

You can argue that it's all from the subconscious. You can argue that it's all made up. But like I say - none of that matters.

You've been given this gift, this insight into the flipside, and you instinctively know that you need to explore it further.  But I would say (argue) that it's important to explore it like an attorney - avoid any judgments to the facts of the case - and by that I mean religious artifacts - the truth is that we've been on the planet much longer than there was a jesus, buddha, mohammed, krishna - they're all avatars, and all of them have served a purpose in our spiritual evolution.

But the important thing to remember is that you too are a divine soul on the planet - composed of the same energy these avatars were made of, and you will have the same journey that they did - going from a young soul to an older soul - and you will one day teach others how to do this method... it may not be in this lifetime, but it will occur, because now you're aware of it.

So - there, I've given you casework and homework - and you know what to do.

Don't be in a hurry to solve this case - do the homework methodically - take your time. Avoid anyone telling you what you should or shouldn't do (including me) and find your own path into this journey.

But I've given you a small version of what I've been doing with people - fully conscious - over coffee - and have been getting amazing results... and by results I mean they're consistent and they are replicable - which is what science (and law) asks of us.

Dreams turn out to be gateways into the Flipside.

Hacking the Afterlife in Real Time

I've started to experience and hear some unusual events, and I'm jotting my notes down here, as way of reminding myself to revisit them.

Puzzled? Me too.
I could wait until my next book, and that may be what this line of inquiry turns into.  But perhaps others out in the world are getting the same results.   Since it's been happening to me, and with my line of questions, it feels like it's unique to me.

But as happens in the world we live in, it's more than likely that other people are experiencing the same things I'm experiencing, getting the same results I'm getting, and are writing them as we speak.  Or even putting them into a screenplay as we speak.

I'm uniquely positioned to do the same, that is take my research and write it into a script and turn them into a movie.  And that film may take life as a documentary, as a series, or even as a theatrical feature.  All I can say, is that something REALLY WEIRD is going on, and I'm reporting it here for those of you who care about this kind of thing.

Really weird? How about the Cubs win the world series?

You should be aware that for the past ten years I've been filming people under deep hypnosis, hearing them talk about the afterlife.  And recently I've been interviewing mediums who appear to be talking to someone no longer on the planet - in all of these cases, it's only if I know the person that they're talking about can I verify if indeed it does appear they're talking to that person.

But recently, in my interviews with mediums, I've taken the opportunity to ask them to examine their own path to this work they're now doing, and while we examine that path, I ask them to take a detour and go to the source of their ability. Meaning, I ask them to speak directly to their spirit guide or guides, and to ask them to show them how their path came about.

Because I've filmed so many sessions (35 so far) I'm conversant with what people almost always report when they get to the flipside - whether it's loved ones who greet them, or visiting their soul group, or a place of healing, or a library, or their council - since I've been before many councils (as every hypnotherapist trained in the Michael Newton method of hypnotherapy has, or can report about in detail) I'm familiar with what a council looks like.

So I can ask questions.  "How many are there? Are they men, women or something else? How are they dressed? What role do these council members represent in terms of your life's journey?"  And recently, I've done the extra step of saying "Go forward to your council member. Take their hand in yours. Describe what that feels like. Now, while you're holding their hand, ask them this question..."

I'm getting some really unusual results.  In the past month alone, I've interviewed four mediums in this fashion, have spoken to people that I know personally who are no longer on the planet, but what they say is consistent with my memory of them, or consistent in terms of what other people have said these same people have said. I've done this same technique in person, on camera, on skype, and in auditoriums.

I've also done the same technique with every day people who have had some kind of experience in their life that they can recount. I've found that once they tell me about an unusual dream, or an unusual event, that becomes the gateway so that I can ask them to take me to the flipside, to meet their council, loved ones and friends.

I've done that with three people in the past week. One is an airline stewardess who has been reading my books, has never had any hypnotherapy whatsoever, one is a person who had a near death experience 30 years ago, and one is a woman who runs a book club online who reached out to me for an interview.

She said "I've read and listened to all your books."
I'm going to recount in shorthand what each one of them said.

In the case of the stewardess, she lives in another country, so our talk was via google talk.  I'd never spoken to her before, we've exchanged emails, and she's described some unusual dreams.  In one dream, she made a point about seeing an "alien" that was dying, and how she went to his side in the dream, and he gave her "two pills." ("Go Ask Alice?" or "The Matrix?" No) One pill made her see and learn the entire history of the planet he was dying on, and the second pill allowed her to understand and know how the DNA of that planet worked - so when she was stabbed moments later by the same people who were trying to kill him, she was able to heal herself instantly.

Now - those familiar with my work know that I put these dreams into two categories. Either it was completely illusory (made up) or it wasn't. If it wasn't, then we can examine how or why these elements came into the dream and why.  In this case, I used to death of this 8 foot tall "grey" alien as an entry point.  I asked her to "freeze" the memory in the dream, and to examine details in it. She talked about the texture of his skin, how his eyes were closed, etc. I asked her to take his hand and remember if they had any previous life together. She saw the two of them on the bow of a "space ship" where they were traveling to various planets to help out.

She said "I don't understand what this means."  I said "It's okay, I do."  (I have another friend who had a similar dream seeing himself traveling around deep space in a ship where his role was an ambassador of sorts (after a lifetime of fighting in this "other realm" as a general.)

I try hard not to judge what a person remembers via the filters that are on our planet. "How could I be an alien and be me?" Well, the Newton institute recently reported about 30% of their clients say they've had "off world experience." (As reported by Pete Smith, President of the Newton Institute in "It's a Wonderful Afterlife.") So it's not entirely odd to hear someone remembering a past life as an "alien."

Further, when asked what she was doing on this ship, she said that she and her partner went around helping civilizations in an etheric way. I asked her to explore that, and she said they did not "interfere" with civilizations directly, but worked on the "grid" - or the electrical grid that is related to their existence on their planet. I asked her to describe this grid, and she described something akin to an invisible shield around the planet, and instead of directly interfering, or helping people below, they would work on the grid that surround that planet.  She added that she "didn't know what she was talking about" but was saying it anyway.

I pointed out to her that I've heard these kinds of reports before. (Specifically in the Pete Smith chapter in "It's a Wonderful Afterlife.")  I also heard a similar report recently, when speaking to a man who remembered having an experience with a UFO when he was 25 and had an hour of "Missing time."  When I asked him to examine that hour, he reported that the ship he saw had come to "activate him" so that he could help with the kind of work they were doing, very similar to what this woman was describing.

She said that "there are many alien groups here on the planet."  She said that some are doing their work invisibly, without interference, but there are others who appear to not care about the idea of non-interference and are "treating the earth like it's a possession." I have heard something similar from other folks. That UFO's that we can see - well, we're not supposed to see them - but if we do it's almost like an interference in our development.

In the case of the woman who had an NDE, in front of an audience we explored her near death experience, and she went back to visit her soul group, a place of healing and her council.  She was able to meet and identify people who are on her council, and had a profound experience doing so. She said that she has never done deep hypnosis, and this was an entirely unique experience for her. What made it fascinating, is that her council members gave her "new information" - details that she was not aware of during her near death experience, nor had she any conscious memory of - but while asking her these questions in front of a live audience, she had the profound experience of "remembering all of it."

Then yesterday I did a blog broadcast via Skype with a woman who interviews authors for her writing blog.  She told me she's read my books, had listened to them on audible, and had some incredible stories about her mom's passing and how her mother saw a number of relatives in her hospital room "that no one else could see."

But, she said she was disconcerted that in the five years since her mother's passing "she never came for a visit."

I pointed out that people frequently say that, but upon closer examination, it's possible the loved one DID visit. Just that they weren't aware of it.

She said that once since her mom's passing, she had a hypnotist try to help her do a past life regression (unsuccessfully) but during the session, she got a glimpse of her mother.  So I asked her to return to that moment. (Fully conscious, we're talking on skype after all.)  She did. I asked her to describe her mother, age, height, etc. She said she looked "younger and more vibrant."

I told her the case of the NYPD detective (on the film "Salt") who asked me why his partner was appearing to his 8 year old daughter as younger and thinner, when he died 2 years before she was born.  I explained "people claim that they appear in the form they were happiest in."

I asked this woman to take her mom's hand and hold it. "What does that feel like?"  She did so - and described a feeling. I asked for her "primary guide" to come forward. She said she saw her mom's mother - but was surprised, as they were not close.  I said "Well, you are now. Take her hand too." I asked her primary guide for help in taking her around. She said she would.

So we went to a place of healing.  She described what that was like, and we went to visit her council.  It was at the council meeting (six individuals) that I asked for her to single out the spokesperson, or person on the council who could answer questions.  She described a gent in a suit, looking like someone in the show "Mad Men."  I asked her to go closer and to take his hand as well.  When she did, she said "Oh. It's my uncle. That's weird."  I asked why. She said "Because he's alive.  And I don't like him."

I explained that people claim roughly a third of our energy is here at any given time, so the two thirds of us could be back home doing this kind of work. I asked why she didn't like him. She said "Because he's the one I went to when I was being molested and he denied it was happening."  I told her about another case that was similar (in "It's a Wonderful Afterlife") and I asked her to hold his hand and send him some love anyway. And she gasped and said "Oh, I see it now. He's showing me how I had asked him to deny my story, I had asked him to pretend to be indifferent with me, that this was all part of my plan."

I asked her council member to describe how that worked.  If people could "agree to a contract" or if they could "break the contract they agreed to."  He said that "it didn't matter.  If they broke the contract, then that was something they'd planned in advance, and if they didn't fulfill what they set out to do in this lifetime, they could always do it further down the road. That "by the end of the entire journey this soul would have found a way to experience whatever it was they had decided they needed to examine."

I thanked him - as it was something I had never heard before, and as she said she had never had anything like what was happening to her happen to her before.  She confirmed (on camera) that we didn't know each other, we hadn't planned to speak in this manner, she had no idea that I was going to take her anywhere, and that she learned a huge amount during our short interview.

I guess I will recount this in a future book - in detail, as I filmed it. Perhaps the transcription of these sessions will bring further clarification.  Also, I will ask these individuals if it's ok for me to post footage from their interviews, so readers can see for themselves precisely what they were saying, how they said it, and whether it offers any solace or clarity.

One can only hope!

5 STARS More essential information in negotiating the "Flipside"...
I first found Richard Martini and his initial book, "Flipside" as I was training to become a Transpersonal and LBL Hypnotherapist. I found his observations accurate and illuminating. He has the ability to elevate a ground-breaking concept and practice onto platform that anyone can observe, understand and assimilate. In this new book, he presents new research and observations from many points of view, allowing the reader to understand and see different perspectives and to form their own conclusions, while documenting logical summations and supporting evidence. He does all of this with humor and a considerate approach to opposing views, religions, and healthy skepticism. I will certainly refer my clients to the powerful books he has written and the amazing documentary he has created.Thank you Richard, for furthering this amazing research and providing validation for the healing and spiritual growth possible with the enlightened tools of Transpersonal and Life-Between-Life Hypnotherapy.

Scott De Tamble on Life Between Life hypnotherapy

Scott De Tamble talking about hypnotherapy and life between lives sessions. Scott's work appears in "Flipside" both the book and documentary.  His practice is in Claremont, CA and his website is LightBetweenLives.com

This was a talk that I filmed, given for the IANDS group of Orange County (International Association of Near Death Studies) in Tustin.  It's an excellent explanation of what happens during a Life Between Life (LBL) session as pioneered by Michael Newton ("Journey of Souls").

Enjoy!  (Scott will be speaking at the AfterlifeConvention.com Sept 28 in Santa Monica)

Love is God and Heaven is Real

Lots of friends have been sending me this link to Dr. Eben Alexander's book "Proof of Heaven."  It's a wonderful story if you haven't read it - a neuro surgeon has a near death experience during which he experiences a number of things that don't fit easily into the science paradigm that consciousness ends when the brain stops.  He was clinically dead - or just dead as it's easier to say - really, what's the point of saying "clinically dead?" - people argue that if you're not dead, then you're not dead - that he was somehow still alive even though by all reports he was dead.

Here's a link to the story "Heaven is Real": http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2012/10/07/proof-of-heaven-a-doctor-s-experience-with-the-afterlife.html

Here's a link to his book "Proof of Heaven": http://www.lifebeyonddeath.net/author

But in case you didn't catch the irony in Newsweek's title, there's a best selling book with a similar theme, albeit written by the father of a boy who had a nearly identical experience, it's called "Heaven is For Real" -

What's the diff?

Well basically one's a kid (Todd Burpo) who came back and said he saw Jesus.  The other is a Harvard neurosurgeon who says he experienced God.  Are we supposed to assume one account is more accurate than the other because one is told by a Doctor?  Is it that the child who is younger has a less detailed story?  I just want to point out the incongruity of this information - and I want to point out the neither is WRONG and neither is RIGHT.

Please. Let me explain.

The problem with this research into the Afterlife is that we have no words or dialog with which to discuss it.  Mainly because in the history of the planet, people had these experiences all the time - they usually came back and told people about it - and the people either formed a religion based on their "vision" - there are quite a few that come to mind that began with the their religious founder having a "vision of God."

And then there's those who had a similar experience or vision and suffered for it - burned at the stake for example, or thrown into prison, or pronounced heretics.

Because we have the internet, we can all share these stories, but they remain the same problem each time they are reported.  "Was there anyone else there who can report this same information?  Did you have any eyewitnesses who saw you there?  Can you please direct whoever your guardian angel is to return and show us exactly what it is you're talking about?"

We can't begin to have a dialog because the language just hasn't gotten to the point where we can discuss these things in a rational way.  One one side we have Bill Maher who chastises Newsweek for claiming that "Heaven is Real" and on the other hand we have people who are complaining that Dr. Alexander didn't see the religious icon they expect to find in the Afterlife.  How can this be?  Why is this a problem?
‘You have nothing to fear.’ ‘There is nothing you can do wrong.’ The message flooded me with a vast and crazy sensation of relief. (Photo illustration by Newsweek; Source: Buena Vista Images-Getty Images)

It's fairly simple.  We need to find a way to reproduce these events without dying.  Without having a near death experience.  If we could actually artificially induce a near death experience safely, wouldn't it make sense to do so and examine what was being said?

That's what I've been doing for the past five years and is the subject of "Flipside."  I found the work of Dr. Michael Newton who had reported that he and the therapists he's trained have examined over 7000 cases of people describing the Afterlife in great detail, over 30 years.  In the case of Dr. Newton, he didn't publish his work until he'd done a huge amount of research, and his first book came out in 1994 ("Journey of Souls") He has written three since then.

And what his clients describe is IDENTICAL to what Dr. Alexander describes.  Not in the exact order, not even in the exact visual, but clearly, Dr. Alexander was traveling with some kind of a guide (referred to in Newton's work as a spirit guide or wise elder, in Dr. Alexander's case a young woman.)  This is not a random event - the exact same event has been described thousands of times.  And in the case of my own research, I decided that if Dr. Newton was accurate, then I could take anyone off the street so to speak, put them under the same series of questions and get the same results.

My point is also about the cult of university degrees that prevents us from examining research for what it is.  It either is corroborated, or it is not.  If Todd Burpo saw the same things that Eben Alexander saw, then we could have a consensus of opinion.  But because we are caught up with the degrees that one person might have - when there are NO DEGREES OUT THERE FOR STUDYING THE AFTERLIFE.  Science can't tell us what consciousness is - can't tell us how consciousness can exist outside the body - and in the cases of these thousands of reports, exists prior to our coming here, exists in a higher fashion while we are here, and exists after we die.  Not a dang degree on the planet to account for that research.  People either become a guru, a devotee, or a teacher - but what we need is COMMON EXPERIENCE.  We need to examine identical reports from the Afterlife - so we can examine what has been reported, and what has not.

That's what I've been doing.  And have continued to do and film since publishing "Flipside: A Tourist's Guide on How to Navigate the Afterlife."  I've filmed a half dozen other between live sessions, and when I get to a number I think makes sense, I'll publish the next version of "Flipside."

So my point is; I appreciate Dr. Alexander reporting this information.  But I'd like to let him and everyone else know - "You want to go back to the same location and see the same event again?  You can do that - and all it requires is the help of a trained Newton therapist to do so."  There's a list of therapists at the NewtonInstitute.org website, and I recommend doing a search and finding the best that's near you.  Also talking to the therapist to make sure it's the right fit - you just never know what the experience is going to be like, but those who have trained with Newton at least understand the pathway that's required.  It's not enough to have the experience on your own, and then write a book about it and somehow make it so they think they need to have a near death experience to learn the same information that you've learned.  You must go further - and examine how everyone can experience this kind of information.  It's really about sharing who we are at our essential core. And why wouldn't everyone do that, to at least learn from the common experience?

So, the good news is; we don't die.  The second great news is; we all (eventually) return to this realm that can only be described in human language as a kind of heaven.  There's equality among all souls, there's a sense of connectedness to the source that is reported as Godlike or blissful, our loved ones and departed friends are all there waiting to see us, and there's an unusual detail that two thirds of our spirit energy is always back there - always observing the one third that is here, inhabiting who we are, and watching what we do.

So don't be in such a hurry to get there.  It's not going anywhere.  You chose to be yourself for a reason.  You chose this path for a reason.  Examine it.  See that those around you, even the ones who seem like stones in your path, are truly making your life better.  And then examine how you can make their lives better, through a kindness, a laugh, a gesture, a gift.
Religion is replete with people having an apotheosis and either
starting their own religion or being burned at the stake

The other day I read about someone who in their 20's was sitting on a hillside with a yoga group and he heard someone whisper in his ear "God is love."  He looked around and saw the nearest person was 10 yards away and couldn't have said it.  He's been wondering about that sentence ever since.  But as simple as it is, it's the key to our existence.  God or the source,  or whatever you want to call the vast consciousness of the Universe that permeates us and everything, can only be described as "love" because for lack of a better word, we just don't have the language to describe being connected to everyone and all things.

And I might add, as a meditation, try "Love is God" on for size.  It's refers to what the essence of the Universe is, the essence of who we are, and is a more apt definition for God than any I've heard.  It comes from a session I was filming where the subject asked "What, or who is God?" And her spirit guide said "God is beyond the capacity of the human brain to comprehend.  It's just not physically possible.  However you can experience God. The way to do that is to open your heart to everyone and to all things.  In that way you can feel God."

What other way is there to describe what love is?  Love is... God.  And.. vice versa.  (And no, I'm not referring to any God that I'm aware of that has been written about in any book - in any dogma - or in any religious text.)  Except perhaps the ancient Jewish tradition of not even writing a word for God because it's too sacred and too beyond our comprehension to understand - Yahweh - But by claiming that you can't even pronounce it is to say that it's not allowed, when it's not that it's not allowed - it's just that it's beyond human language to comprehend.  Not that we shouldn't say God - or that somehow there's an individual that is wrathful, a punisher, etc - that just does not exist in any of the research.  But what does exist is the concept that God or the source, of the Gods or the sources - that the only word we have in the language to describe the essence of that feeling or experience is.. love.
