New Beyond Belief with George Noory "Talking to the Flipside"

"Life after death may be far more fantastical than you can believe. Richard Martini presents us with a new perspective of the afterlife, based on his documentation of countless Between Life sessions, including contact with the late Bill Paxton. We listen in on several of these sessions to glean the uncanny commonalities of the accounts, giving us a clearer picture of what awaits us on the flipside of life.

After a dream vision of visiting his friend in the Great Beyond, author and award winning filmmaker Richard Martini went on a literary quest to discover the prevailing science and philosophical opinions on the afterlife. Eventually he was introduced to the work of author and hypnotherapist Dr. Michael Newton. FlipSide: A Tourist's Guide to the Afterlife is his debut non-fiction book on a topic that's been haunting him since the death of a soul mate."

Hey Richard! Have you ever come upon Christopher Hitchens in the afterlife?

Hi Laura! Well, that's funny you should ask that question... I just published an interview with him in "Backstage Pass to the Flipside" - Jennifer Shaffer and I have been "interviewing" people on the flipside... we began with people that we knew, people that friends of ours knew, and then kind of "experimented" with people I didn't know, never met, but guessed that people on the flipside might have known. It's in Book Two, where I decided I'd see if "a group of atheists" could be accessed. We asked one famous atheist if Christopher could be accessed, and they joked "No, because then I've have to admit there is an afterlife." (Pretty funny answer.) It's the old New Yorker cartoon - man on a couch telling his psychiatrist "I had a dream that Christopher Hitchens came to me to tell me there was no afterlife." Is it really Christopher? I have no idea - the way I posed the question to him was to ask about a person that I know that he knew that jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge... that seemed to be a place to jump in...he said that he was "boxing" in the afterlife. I asked about that, "why?" and "how?" and later looked up that he had been a boxer in his youth... that it was something he didn't think he was good at, but wrote in his autobiography that "a day didn't go by where he didn't think about it"... so he explained the math behind "creating a boxing match" on the other side, and how you can choose to experience the punches associated with the match, or not... not something I've heard before, but is repeated in other interviews about "creating environments on the flipside" including race tracks, speedways or beaches... "How do you do that?" "Math"is the answer we get.
